Position Specific Summary - Under the supervision of the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy & Public Administration's (TSPPPA) Academic Department Administrator, this position will assist with:

  • The organization and analysis of course enrollment data to build multi-year class schedules
  • Inputting of course schedules and any successive updates or changes into the scheduling system
  • Budget data entry needs
  • Program audits related to School rankings
  • Event planning support, including project coordination, registration management, and day of management
  • Facilitation of all Advisory Council needs
  • Facilitation of visiting faculty needs to include any pre-arrival paperwork and communication with CCAS' Office of Global Initiatives
  • Support of DAR work to include TSPPPA's annual ASPA Reception
  • Management of TSPPPA's shared Google and Box folders
  • Faculty and Executive Committee support
  • Doodle/Meeting creation
  • Faculty communication (ad hoc- examples include travel coordination)

Standard Position Description - The student will serve as an administrative assistant and perform tasks to support the operations of the office or department with limited oversight while completing assignments, projects, and duties. Tasks may also include: lead and organize administrative functions for mid to large scale programs, projects, or events, serve as a key point of contact for departmental inquiries, assist in the management of department or program communications and data entry/reporting, and/or provide oversight and support for student staff and other administrative tasks. Special projects or duties may be assigned related to specific office needs.
