RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUBSTITUTE

• Depending on your role as Teacher, Aide or Nurse the specific duties may change. In general, your role for Norwell Public Schools is to maintain and support an encouraging, safe learning environment, supervise students both in and out of the classrooms and help provide continuity of instruction to the students in the teacher's or aide's absence. Duties will vary depending on building and grade level.

• All faculty members, general staff members, substitute teachers, and volunteers serving the educational community of the Norwell Public Schools are to uphold and respect a student's right to privacy.

• Members of our educational community must refrain from discussions pertaining to a student's health, academic, social, and/or emotional development in public settings outside of the educational environment.
