Duties and Responsibilities:Design mechanical parts, assemblies, enclosures, and electro-mechanical systemsCreate and update 3D models, drawings, bills of material, and engineering documentationUse SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD toolsApply basic DFM/DFA, GD&T, materials, tolerancing, and manufacturing principlesSupport prototype builds, testing, qualification, and productionTroubleshoot mechanical and electro-mechanical issues and help identify root causesWork with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and customersResearch components, materials, and design alternativesSupport engineering changes, configuration control, and technical documentationAssist with environmental and qualification testing, including applicable MIL-STD requirementsJob Qualifications:Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD softwareBasic knowledge of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerancingAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentationStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skillsComfortable working hands-on with prototypes, test hardware, and manufacturing teamsAccelerated life testingElectro-mechanical packagingRuggedized electronics packagingCable, connector, and wiring integrationERP systems such as Deltek CostpointSupplier and supply chain technical supportManufacturing automation and Industry 4.0 technologiesExperience with GD&T, DFM/DFA, machining, sheet metal, welding, thermal or structural analysis, MIL-STD testing, or electro-mechanical packaging is a plus.
