Knowledge Of:<ul><li>Credit Union’s products and services.</li><li>Credit Union policies and procedures pertaining to loan servicing.</li><li>Real Estate underwriting criteria.</li></ul>         Ability To:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Utilize the credit union's data processing capability in loading new loan information in the system.</li><li>Operate the kinds of office equipment normally found in a lending operation, such as: adding machine, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, and personal computer.</li><li>Operate a PC using the following software applications Windows, Outlook, Excel, and Word.</li><li>Refer credit union products and services based on member needs.</li><li>Process a steady workload under strict time constraints.</li><li>Process Real Estate Loans.</li><li>Understand and interpret information required to remain in compliance with secondary market underwriting criteria.</li><li>Analyze appraisals, debt to income, and an understanding of qualities that affect credit worthiness.</li></ul>

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. <ul><li>Reviews first mortgage applications in the Credit Union mortgage processing system for accuracy.</li><li>Assures application fees, appraisal fees and other fees related to the processing of a mortgage loan are collected and processed according to policies and procedures.</li><li>Maintain a strong working knowledge of Agency guidelines (Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac).</li><li>Manages and prioritizes individual pipeline of loans on a daily basis in order to ensure closing dates and company deadlines are met.</li><li>Maintain internal turn times for underwriting new files and clearing conditions within 24-48 hours.</li><li>Order the following documentation as necessary: Verification of Employment, Evidence of Insurance, Payoffs, Tax Transcripts, Credit Supplements, condo questionnaires, subordination requests, and Title Work as needed for each file.</li><li>Underwrite Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to ensure conformance with Agency, investor and company guidelines.</li><li>Review and evaluation of real estate appraisals, and other collateral related documentation (title, insurance, deeds, etc.)</li><li>Examination of credit, income, and assets of loan applicants.</li><li>Assist members via the phone by answering calls in the Mortgage Operations department queue.</li><li>Correspond with or interviews applicant, creditors, realtors and vendors, when needed, to resolve questions regarding application information.</li><li>Ensure compliance with lending regulations, internal policies and underwriting guidelines.</li><li>Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential red flags or fraudulent activities.</li><li>Responsible for determining and issuing the credit decision on the loan application and issuing conditions, as needed, for a complete file.</li><li>Prepares and clears residual conditions required to approve and document the loan.</li><li>Schedules closing dates and times as needed. Prepares the file for closing.</li><li>Obtains and reviews preliminary title commitment from title companies.</li><li>Review and respond to internal and external audits.</li></ul>
