QUALIFICATIONS Required Master's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas Assistant Principal or other appropriate administrative certification Minimum of two (2) years of successful classroom teaching experience Preferred Three (3) years of successful experience as a campus administrator Five (5) years of classroom teaching experience Experience supporting instructional coaching and teacher development Experience working in high-needs or turnaround campuses Experience analyzing student achievement data to support instructional improvement Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Thorough understanding of school operations and campus management systems Knowledge of effective instructional practices and school improvement strategies Ability to analyze and interpret student achievement data to guide instructional improvement Knowledge of state accountability systems and campus improvement planning Ability to support instructional coaching and teacher development Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to coordinate campus support operations and manage multiple priorities Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and compliance requirements Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to build collaborative teams and support a culture of accountability MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Instructional Management Support implementation of the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) instructional model. Days per Year: 207 Min: $78,594 Mid: $94,690 (Based on 2025-2026 Pay Scale) JOB TITLE: Middle School Assistant Principal - Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Campus REPORTS TO: Principal on Special Assignment - ACE Campus WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt PAY GRADE: CA 1 ACE STIPEND: $12,000 Annual ACE Leadership Stipend (in accordance with the District ACE Compensation Plan) PRIMARY PURPOSE The Assistant Principal - Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Middle School supports the campus principal in implementing the Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) turnaround model and ensuring strong instructional leadership, effective school operations, and systems that accelerate student achievement.
