Specialized experience at the GS-14 level is defined as experience providing legal support for programs (including but not limited to: Ethics in Government program, Freedom of Information programs, etc.), advising senior management on administrative matters and policy formulation, assisting in the development of agency policies, presenting and litigating cases on behalf of the agency, and conducting legal review and approval of various civilian personnel management aspects. Applicants eligible for veterans preference must include that information in their cover letter or resume and attach supporting documentation (e.g., DD 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty, VA letter or any documentation that verifies "Character of Service", dates served, campaign badges, or disability of the Veteran) to their submissions.
