Duties and Responsibilities Duties vary by level, with increasing independence, complexity, leadership, and responsibility: Level I (Entry-Level) : Assist experienced pipefitters with basic layout, cutting, threading, fitting, assembly, and installation of piping systems, supports, and hangers under direct supervision; perform general site support (tool/parts prep, material handling/loading/unloading, cleanup); participate in safety briefings and learn wet-side HVAC basics through on-the-job training. Level IV (Master/Lead-Level) : Collaborate with General Foreman, Superintendent, and Project Manager to develop project-specific task plans, labor/material requirements, takeoffs, and field surveys; oversee daily crew functions, scheduling, inspections, weekly reports (safety/production), and startup coordination; proactively resolve issues, train/mentor the team on advanced techniques and safety, and drive efficiency across jobsites.
