As these organizations race towards building gigawatt-scale data centers, this technically-oriented business leader will help solve for challenges in grid availability, power quality, energy resilience and offer/negotiate use of bankable and reliable Canadian Solar critical power infrastructure products — led by battery energy storage (BESS) deployed behind the meter to solve data center power quality challenges (AI training load smoothing, large electronic load ride-through, and load shifting) and to anchor off-grid and blackstart microgrids, complemented by natural gas generation, power conversion, and controls, and delivered as integrated, turnkey solutions — that will allow these cloud providers to scale. Behind-the-Meter & Microgrid Solutions: Develop and structure BESS-led behind-the-meter and off-grid solutions — AI training load smoothing, large electronic load ride-through, load shifting, and blackstart/islanded microgrids, paired with natural gas generation where required — that bring data center capacity online ahead of, or independent of, utility interconnection.
