<p>The Leonardo DRS Naval Power Systems business is a trusted provider of innovative naval gas and hybrid power systems, control technology and support solutions for the U.S. Navy and navies around the world.</p><h3><b>Job Summary</b></h3><p>Join our Danbury, CT team as a Senior Manager Supply Chain responsible for quality, delivery, and cost of procured materials for use in various electronic systems on naval ships and submarines.</p><h3><b>What You Will Do</b></h3><ul><li>Manage a multi-discipline team and clearly communicate departmental goals and metrics</li><li>Assist in the development of forecast/requirements for Supply Chain</li><li>Assist in developing and implementing strategy; create Strategic Supplier Purchase Agreements</li><li>Determine and recommend new suppliers and implement transition plans</li><li>Monitor metrics and take action as appropriate</li><li>Review open requisitions weekly and meet with appropriate buyers on the open requisitions</li><li>Coordinate with Engineering and Quality on a team approach to supplier assessments and approval</li><li>Advise planning, engineering, and drafting of item master errors, updates, or omissions as well as changes in prices or lead times in relation to mil-specs or new or obsolete items</li><li>Expedite critical components to ensure on-time deliveries</li><li>Look for creative ways to improve purchasing ability to make contributions to the company’s goals</li></ul><h3><b>Education & Experience Requirements</b></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or a related field</li><li>A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense + experience with leading a team of direct reports in a related area</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures</li><li>Demonstrated management skills, particularly influence management and conflict resolution</li><li>Experience throughout the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction through obsolescence to include: generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts</li><li>Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations</li><li>A problem-solver, a strong negotiator, and customer focused</li><li>Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control</li></ul><p>U.S. Citizenship required.
