A Network Cable Splicer Apprentice - Step 1 may, under direct supervision of a Network Cable Splicer - Journeyman, work on low-voltage equipment energized to not more than 300 volts, provided they do not come within the minimum approach distance of equipment energized above 300 volts. Operates such tools as cable presses, torches, gas furnaces, manually and electrically operated hand tools, test equipment, air compressors, air tools, blowers, pumps, fans, electric hammers, and hydraulic and associated equipment on vehicles.
