In line with the Jesuit values at the core of Boston College, the program ensures graduates (a) approach data science with a human-centered mindset, which will prepare graduates to place people and society at the forefront; (b) instill in students the importance of ethical and responsible data use; and (c) ensure that equity and the minimization of biases are at the center of their training in data science, from data collection, processing, storage, to modeling, presentation, and interpretation.
