The Deputy Director assists with maintenance and operations oversight, manages the Public Works budget, assists in equipment and vehicle purchases for all County departments, administers the Countywide GPS program, manages the fuel distribution program for the County, oversees training in Public Works, and attends public meetings as required by the Director. Assures that assigned areas of responsibility are performed within budget, performs cost control activities, monitors revenues and expenditures in assigned area to assure sound fiscal control, prepares annual budget requests, assures effective and efficient use of budgeted funds, personnel, materials, facilities, and time.
