Duties/Responsibilities· Lead and participate in sensory programs to support development and shelf-life validation· Perform new item risk assessments and ensure HACCP and food safety compliance· Review and approve raw materials for functionality, safety, and regulatory alignment· Create and maintain FDA-compliant Nutrition Facts Panels and ingredient statements· Design and execute shelf-life and challenge studies, including microbiological and stability testing· Champion daily sensory evaluation of materials and finished goods for quality and consistency· Apply culinary intuition to evaluate flavor, texture, and overall eating experience· Serve as a primary contact for supplier and customer inquiries related to food safety and product quality· Troubleshoot formulations and support seamless scale-up from R&D to production. Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field (Dairy Science, Nutrition, Microbiology, Food Engineering, Culinary Science, etc.)· 2-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or R&D (dairy or refrigerated foods preferred)· Strong understanding of food safety, shelf-life validation, and regulatory labeling· Experience with Genesis or similar nutritional software· Strong organizational skills· Detail-oriented· Ability to multitask effectively· Knowledge of FDA labeling rules (21 CFR 101) preferred· Experience conducting or supporting sensory evaluation preferred.
