This critical manager role directs technical services, regulatory interface, permitting management, annual environmental reporting, near-field monitoring coordination, SME resource allocation, continuous improvement initiatives, and the management and mentoring of technical environmental staff to reduce compliance vulnerabilities, protect the Columbia River and surrounding environment, and advance DOE enforceable milestones under the Tri-Party Agreement. A day in the life of the Environmental Technical Services Manager includes, but is not limited to: - Serve as the lead responsible for the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) program, acting as the primary interface for environmental/regulatory notifications, event coordination, and off-hours support to ensure timely and accurate communication with DOE, regulators, and site stakeholders during incidents or inquiries.
