San Bernardino County is recruiting for Supervising Revenue Recovery Officers who supervise, assign, and coordinate the work of Revenue Recovery Officers and support staff; participate in hiring and disciplinary actions; perform and train staff on a variety of collection activities that include resolving complex collection cases, complying with legal codes, securing payment agreements, appearing in court, and seizing unsecured property. The ideal candidates background for the Auditor-Controller/Treasurer Tax Collector includes knowledge and understanding of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, current laws, and government regulations pertaining to the collection of delinquent accounts (i.e., unsecured/secured debt, personal loans, medical bills, or government debt).
