This position supports HIV, HCV, STI, and PrEP-related services; assists patients with insurance coverage, patient-assistance programs, appointments, referrals, and follow-up care; and helps link patients to infectious disease care, substance use disorder treatment, medication for opioid use disorder, mental health services, and other health and social-service supports. The Peer Navigator connects patients with HCV, HIV, and sexually transmitted infection prevention, testing, treatment, and related services, including substance use disorder treatment, medication for opioid use disorder, behavioral healthcare, insurance, and patient-assistance programs.
