Managing Back of the House Shift Managers: Provide guidance and support to back of the house shift leaders, ensuring they have the resources and tools needed to effectively manage their teams and operations. Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent, franchised Operators who invest in the future of their Team Members and give back to their communities.

Reports to: Executive Business Director Responsibilities:<ul><li>Kitchen Operations: Oversee all aspects of back of the house operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure adherence to Chick-fil-A's food quality and safety standards.</li><li>Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste. Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries.</li><li>Scheduling and Labor Assistance: Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage while managing labor costs. Adjust schedules as needed based on business volume and staffing requirements.</li><li>Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure food quality, presentation, and portioning meet Chick-fil-A's standards. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions.</li><li>Kitchen Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of kitchen equipment. Coordinate with maintenance staff for repairs or replacements as necessary.</li><li>Food Safety and Sanitation: Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations. Implement and enforce proper procedures for food handling, storage, and cleanliness.</li><li>Team Leadership: Lead and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and recognize outstanding performance.</li><li>Cost Control: Monitor food and labor costs to meet budgetary goals. Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.</li><li>Menu Development and Specials: Collaborate with the BOH team and Executive Business Director to deploy new menu items and seasonal specials. </li><li>Communication: Effectively communicate with team members, other managers, and departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues or challenges that arise.</li><li>Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records and reports related to food inventory, wastage, labor hours, and any operational issues. Provide necessary reports to upper management.</li><li>Managing Back of the House Shift Managers: Provide guidance and support to back of the house shift leaders, ensuring they have the resources and tools needed to effectively manage their teams and operations.</li><li>Truck Ordering and Receiving: Assist in ordering food and supplies from vendors, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
