This department includes state prisons with custody, healthcare, and facility operations staff as well as probation/parole officers who supervised sentenced people in the community. Necessary Special Qualification May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
In addition to the main veterinary division lab located in Raleigh, the Facility Maintenance team is responsible for three satellite laboratories: Griffin Laboratory (Monroe, NC), Northwestern Laboratory (Elkin, NC), and the Western Laboratory (Fletcher, NC).
