Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects; • Using AutoCad software to design and create new drawings and maintain existing drawings; • Using Excel to create Engineering Change Notices and perform calculations; • Using Autodesk Inventor to create and maintain 3D models; • Using LN MRP system to create and maintain Bills of Material; • Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems; • Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials; • Ability to analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions; • Working with external customers and internal management to meet deadlines and customer's specifications; • Communicating with all levels of personnel in the plant, including spending time on the production floor to learn the products and the operation; • Report to plant Design Engineering Supervisor. Under the supervision of an Engineering Manager, the Designer performs a variety of design / drafting activities for the Engineering group including preparing/updating drawings for projects, preparing assembly / manufacturing drawings, and creating such drawings in both 2D and 3D formats.
