Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works and through individual initiative the Town Engineer is responsible for leading engineering operations including planning field and office activities, developing and implementing policies, and overseeing the planning, design, construction, maintenance and repair of Town infrastructure. · Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and the materials, methods, practices and equipment used in the design, construction, inspection, maintenance, and repair of roadways, water, sewer, drainage, parks, public buildings, and cemeteries.
