The MMSS works collaboratively with the President of the MSO, the Medical Executive Committee (MEC), and additional medical Staff Leaders (appointed, elected, volunteer and paid, such as Department Chairs, Committee Chairs, etc.) and the Medical Staff leadership to plan, organize, direct and coordinate the programs and activities of the MSO to ensure that: (1) strategies of the MSO are supported and attained, (2) the goals and plans are realized, and (3) there is adherence to the requirements of regulatory and accreditation bodies that are relevant to the organized medical staff. Responsibilities:Administration/Management Criteria A: Takes initiative in planning and formulating policies, procedures, programs, strategies, and plans for approval of the MEC to further the objective and requirements of the Medical Staff Organization Administration/Management Criteria B: Coordinates and maintains programs Administration/Management Criteria C: Carries out specific tasks assigned by the MEC, President of the Medical Staff, or the Medical Staff leadership.
