Under general direction and according to diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturers' specifications; the Boiler Plant Mechanic/Operator tends one or more boilers to produce steam or high-temperature water; tends one or more centrifugal chillers; tends one or more low-pressure and high-pressure air compressors; tends all related auxiliaries, pumps, regulators, meters, blowers, fans, de-mineralizers, softeners, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic control devices. Additionally, according to diagrams, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, performs complex repairs and overhaul of central heating plants, their components and auxiliary equipment; including automatic or manually controlled boilers, burners, pumps, regulators, meters, blowers, fans, de-mineralizers; electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic control devices and air compressors.
