Education/training PREFERRED: At least one year of supplemental related training working with emotional and mental disorders Independent action(s) required: Functions under the direction of a LIP, manager and RN in providing relationship-based and age-specific care to psychiatric patients including emotional support using therapeutic communication, developing skills in thinking and responding, assisting with the development and maintenance of a safe and therapeutic milieu; all in accordance with hospital, nursing and unit policy/procedure.
