Required clinical skills include airway management, oxygen administration, blood product administration, central line and peripherally inserted central catheter care, chest tube management, feeding tube care, wound care, tracheostomy care, renal failure management, hemodialysis support, insulin administration, isolation precautions, phlebotomy, and peripheral line management. The unit provides support from intravenous therapy, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit clerks.
