Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, bubble CPAP, central line care and blood draws, developmental care, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, feedings (bottle, breast, and gavage), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), high frequency ventilation, hyperbilirubinemia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, IV vasopressors, chest tube management, neonatal dosage calculations, nitric oxide (iNO), oscillator management, phototherapy, phlebotomy, therapeutic hypothermia, thermoregulation, tracheostomy care, UAC and UVC management, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), and seizure disorder management. The facility is equipped to manage complex neonatal cases including advanced ventilator management, therapeutic hypothermia, and surgical support for pre- and post-operative cardiac and abdominal patients.
