<div>Summary:</div><div>Administer in the day-to-day oversight of fiscal department hereby keeping program managers and directors abreast of trends in spending.  Provide support and guidance to Head Start Program staff.</div><div> </div><div>Responsibilities: </div><ul><li>Assist the Administrator in the implementation of division goals.</li><li>Maintain an accounting system for recording expenditures by program account</li><li>Monitor monthly spending projections.</li><li>Bank statements reconciliation</li><li>Manage the preparation, analysis, and timely submission of accurate financial statements, including monthly, quarterly and annual report.</li><li>Assist in the preparation and implementation of audits</li><li>Attend meetings and trainings to advance knowledge and skills.</li><li>Keep abreast of changing developments in the area of operation.</li><li>Prepare bank deposits</li><li>Prepare requisitions for cash</li><li>Verify check requests and purchase orders.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of all agency tax filings</li><li>Assure that all voided checks are properly mutilated and retained on file</li><li>Prepare budget modifications and review new grant</li><li>Prepare chart of accounts</li><li>Maintain a system for all agency inventory</li><li>Comply with generally accepted accounting standards and practices</li><li>Assist in the overall operation of the fiscal office when needed</li><li>Adhere to all policies and procedures.</li><li>Perform other duties assigned. </li></ul><div>QUALIFICATIONS: </div><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, </li><li>A minimum of three (3) years of experience with auditing in a non-profit setting.  CPA or CPA candidate preferred.</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Proficient with accounting software and financial reporting</li><li>Ability to handle detailed work and other responsibilities simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to write budgets and assist with the completion of grant applications.</li><li>Ability to manage large budgets</li><li>Strong analytic and problem-solving skills</li><li>Attention to detail is a must. </li></ul><div>Details:</div><ul><li>Report to: Administrator. </li><li>Salary Range: $71,000-$74,000.</li><li>Work Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.</li><li>Status/Classification: Full-time Exempt.</li></ul><div> To apply: Send resume and/or cover letter to resumes@shoreup.org along with our employment application: https://website-media.com/shore-up/shore-up-site/2024/06/12162639/Employment-Application.pdf.</div> About SHORE UP! The Account Manager plays a key role in supporting property operations, leasing success, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.<hr/><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>Leadership & Team Support<ul><li>Support the General Manager in building a high-performing, motivated, and professional team.</li><li>Contribute to a positive, collaborative office environment that delivers exceptional customer service to prospects and residents.</li><li>Help implement and improve systems, procedures, and standards to enhance operational efficiency and reduce expenses.</li><li>Maintain open and effective communication with the General Manager to support smooth property operations.</li><li>Assist with any additional duties as needed to support the team and property success.</li></ul><h4>Property Administration</h4><ul><li>Support efforts to build and maintain strong relationships with the school, community organizations, and local businesses.</li><li>Participate in local outreach efforts, including on-campus and community events, to boost awareness and leasing performance.</li><li>Collaborate with the Leasing Manager and team to ensure all marketing opportunities are fully leveraged.</li><li>Assist in keeping all marketing materials, websites, and listings accurate, professional, and up to date.</li></ul><h4>Financial Performance</h4><ul><li>Maintain property occupancy at or above 99% and ensure collections are at or above 98% of potential income.</li><li>Support NOI goals through diligent cost control, income generation efforts, and strong budget oversight.</li><li>Oversee collections and ensure delinquencies remain below 2% of total income. </li><li>Maintain accurate resident ledgers and ensure all financial transactions are correctly reflected in property management software (e.g., Entrata).</li><li>Process leases, perform regular audits, and manage vendor payments and accounts payable to ensure accurate billing and property compliance.</li></ul><h4>Customer Experience & Sales</h4><ul><li>Provide first-class service to residents, prospects, parents, and community partners.</li><li>Promote a welcoming, professional office environment that reflects the CL&S brand and values.</li><li>Actively network with university officials, student organizations, and local stakeholders to strengthen community partnerships.</li><li>Support the leasing team in showing and leasing apartments.</li><li>Help the team stay informed on market trends and competitors to maintain an edge in the local market.</li></ul>The activities listed above may not be all inclusive.
