You will oversee the preparation and review of complex returns, mentor and develop junior staff, and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.This is a leadership role for someone who values technical excellence, strong client relationships, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture. Our firm is team-oriented and prides itself on providing quality work and excellent customer relations in a friendly, collaborative working environment.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and manage business (1120, 1120S, 1065) and individual (1040) tax engagements from planning through delivery, to include preparation as needed.</li><li>Review and oversee the work of staff and senior accountants to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.</li><li>Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining ongoing communication, and identifying opportunities for value-added services.</li><li>Advise clients on federal, state, and local tax matters, offering proactive strategies to minimize risk and optimize results.</li><li>Mentor, train, and develop junior team members, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.</li><li>Conduct research on complex tax issues and present findings in clear, actionable terms.</li><li>Manage project timelines, budgets, and production goals to ensure engagement profitability.</li><li>Collaborate with partners and other managers to manage client relationships and support firm growth.</li><li>Stay up to date with changing tax regulations and incorporate innovative, practical solutions into client service.</li><li>Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture that values accountability, integrity, and professional growth.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field</li><li>CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA)</li><li>7+ years of public accounting experience in tax preparation and review</li><li>Strong knowledge of basic accounting, corporate, partnership, and individual taxation</li><li>Excellent project management, analytical, and communication skills</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines</li><li>Client-service mindset with a commitment to quality and relationship building</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with UltraTax and QuickBooks</li><li>Knowledge of multi-state, high-net-worth individual, estate, and trust tax issues</li><li>Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire staff</li><li>Interest in business development or firm growth initiatives</li></ul>LocationAt Wilson Lewis, we're focused on creating a collaborative environment. This individual would ideally sit in the Duluth office but is also welcome to sit at the Atlanta location depending on commute. Pay Range Information:
The pay range for this position is listed below. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan. 
 

Qualifying associates can enroll themselves and/or their eligible dependents in medical and prescription drug coverage; can participate in the H&R Block Retirement Savings Plan (401(k) Plan), the Employee Assistance Program, (virtual) fitness center programs, and the associate discount program; are automatically enrolled in Business Travel Accident Insurance; and receive Associate Tax Prep benefit.

Pay Range:
$11.41 - $80.00/Hr.
