Responsibilities:

Coordinator (RCC) on the development of the reminiscence calendar and coordinate programs and events that can be enjoyed by both assisted living/long term care and reminiscence residents.</li><li>Coordinate with other department coordinators to update resident’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP).</li><li>Ensure compliance of all federal, state/provincial, and local laws and regulations as applicable.</li><li>Maintain a robust public relations program in support of the activities programming and community operations.</li><li>Delegate daily care of any animals and/or plants within the activities program and services, as well as maintenance of records related to this care.</li></ul><h4>Volunteer and Community Focus</h4><ul><li>Network in the local community in partnership with other department coordinators to establish and develop a relationship with local businesses, organizations, and schools to build and maintain a volunteer base for the Memory Box is completed within two (2) weeks of move-in.</li></ul><h4>Financial Management</h4><ul><li>Assist in the presentation and value of Sunrise’s products and services for our residents, families, team members, and targeted referral sources.</li><li>Assist the Executive Director in completing the annual community budget.</li><li>Understand and manage the department budget to include labor/labour and other expenses and its impact on the community’s bottom line.</li><li>Review monthly financial statements and implement plans of action around deficiencies.</li><li>Process and submit monthly expenses and budget data timely per Sunrise policies and internal business controls.</li><li>Coordinate with the community team to achieve maximum staff economies and cross training when applicable.</li><li>Understand the internal cost associated with all Sunrise resident care programs.</li></ul><h4>Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance</h4><ul><li>Ensure that the community follows all federal, state/provincial, and local laws and regulations and Sunrise standards, policies, and procedures as it pertains to resident care and services.</li><li>Strive for excellent quality care and service delivery as measured in the Quality Assurance (QA) process.</li><li>Develop and implement appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies in compliance with Sunrise expectations for QA Audits and other regulatory compliance.</li><li>Partner with leadership team to ensure community is in compliance with national/provincial regulations pertaining to occupational health and safety and promoting Risk Management programs and policies.</li></ul><h4>Training, Leadership and Team Member Development</h4><ul><li>Manage the department, including, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, and disciplining.</li><li>Partner in the delivery and participation in Sunrise University Training and self-study programs during the required timeframe.</li><li>Develop a working knowledge of state/provincial regulations and ensure compliance through supervising and coaching team members.</li><li>Achieve the Team Member Engagement goals and actively lead in the Engagement Improvement Planning sessions.</li><li>Complete team member and volunteer staffing and scheduling according to operational and budgetary guidelines.</li><li>Perform daily review of timekeeping practices and payroll reports to ensure all hours worked are recorded and appropriately paid.</li><li>Conduct timely performance appraisals with meaningful
