LSF is seeking a talented Administrative Assistant I who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.

Purpose and Impact:

The Administrative Assistant I provides administrative and program support for Child Welfare Management Organization Program.

Essential Functions:

  • Organize and maintain accurate documentation for CMO program client files and related documents.
  • Provide administrative support for CMO program including, but not limited to, drafting correspondence, copy, scan, fax, mail and file.
  • Answer phone calls properly and promptly; record and forward messages or assist in referrals, when appropriate.
  • Monitor and track program documents within the program service area.
  • Prepare and maintain program mailing lists in the database system.
  • Prepare, organize and close client file folders for clients.
  • Participate in Case Plan Conference by editing draft of case plan according to the direction of legal and case management staff.
  • Participate in In-Service training, staff meetings and other required trainings.
  • Responsibility for maintenance of file storage or other work area.

Other Functions:

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Use of telephone and computer of long periods of time
  • Must be able and willing to present a professional image over the telephone and in person
  • Bending and lifting up to 20 pounds may be required

Education:

Must possess a high school diploma or GED.

Experience:

Prefer progressively responsible administrative and clerical support experience in a professional office.

Skills:

Must have extensive knowledge of Windows applications, such as Microsoft Word & Excel, must be able to type 45 words per minute, must be able to set up and maintain extensive filing system and have knowledge of general office operating procedures.

Other:

Must demonstrate sensitivity to our service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Provide document filing, file storage, and file retrieval services for all CMO program staff.
  • Secretarial and administrative support to all program staff.
  • Effective working relationship with staff members
  • Adhere to LSF Personnel policies and procedures
