JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payment Processor to join our team in Milford, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have minimum 2 years of experience in banking, financial services, payment processing, or a related field.

The Payment Processor will be responsible for processing financial transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining payment records, resolving discrepancies, and providing support for day-to-day payment operations. Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and knowledge of banking processes are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Process payments, transactions, deposits, and other financial activities accurately and within established deadlines.
• Review payment information and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify account information and transaction details before processing payments.
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, errors, and rejected transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of processed transactions and payment activity.
• Reconcile payment records and identify discrepancies between systems and financial records.
• Handle customer and internal inquiries related to payments and account transactions.
• Follow established banking procedures, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of customer and financial information.
• Monitor transactions for potential errors or irregularities and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Prepare reports and provide updates regarding payment activity and outstanding issues.
• Meet productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time requirements.
• Support other payment and banking-related activities as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in banking, financial services, payment processing, or a related field.
• Previous banking experience is required.
• Strong understanding of financial transactions and payment processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
