    Job Description

    Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director, Student Accounts, the Office Associate provides pivotal frontline and administrative support to the Student Accounts Office. This student-level position is designed for a currently enrolled student and plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, strong customer service, and reliable assistance in student account services.

    Position Duties

    • Perform essential office tasks such as filing, scanning, data entry, message-taking, and general clerical support.
    • Frontline Welcome & Office Presentation
    • Act as a positive, professional presence-greeting all visitors, managing phone and email communication, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming office space. Restock informational materials, display messages thoughtfully, and support a warm atmosphere.
    • Participate in assigned special projects-such as updating training guides, supporting outreach efforts, or cross-campus initiatives.
    • Answer questions in person, on the phone, by email, or in written correspondence; resolve problems and address concerns and issues from students, parents, faculty, and other third parties in the following areas: billing & payment, immunization compliance requirements, and financial aid.
    • Contact academic advisors, colleges, or other university departments to clarify situations, as necessary; intercede and/or advocate on the student's behalf.
    • Participate in various outreach functions.
    • Actively participate in meetings, training, and other professional development opportunities, as assigned.
    • Performs other such duties as may be assigned from time to time.
    • Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
    • Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work independently
    • Strong customer service and organizational skills

    Exact schedule to be determined with supervisor; no more than 20 hours per week when school is in session and no more than 35 hours per week during breaks.
