Activities include, but are not limited to, being knowledgeable of individual hospital and OPTN policies related to donation of all anatomical gifts; facilitate general activities required throughout the donor recovery period under the direction of the Medical Director and Clinical Operations leadership; collaborate with Family Care, Hospital Development, and Donor Services to foster, promote, and sustain cross-departmental collaboration in support of optimal outcomes. This includes overseeing the team that provides initial onsite evaluation of potential organ donors, staffing for current and potential donation opportunities, coordinating logistics involved with the donation process and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize each potential donor through donor management goals.
