Under the general supervision of the Coordinator, Manager, or Director, the Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, processing, and sterilization of instruments used to support physicians and surgical teams in the operating room and other departments as needed. Completion of Approved Sterile Processing Tech Program and certification through CRCST - HSPA (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association) or CBSPD (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution).
