Key projects include: A new community recreation facility with a 1,500-seat competitive gym, indoor track, and training spaces Enhanced STEM and Robotics spaces and flexible classroom designs Secure, redesigned entrances for all elementary schools The Position Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors Degree from an accredited university and a Michigan Teaching Certificate with at least one of the following endorsements: English Language Arts (BA), (BX), or (BQ) BT and BC endorsements will also be considered The qualified candidate will use creative instructional strategies along with best practices for classroom teaching which promotes interactive learning and student engagement through technology, literature, and writing. Candidates will also: Aide in research, development, implementation, and evaluation of the English Language Arts curriculum Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner Develop and implement progressive classroom-based interventions Utilize progress monitoring Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments Maintain accurate student classroom records Oversee publication of the "Kearsley Echo" and "Kearsley Eclipse" This position reports to the Building Principal.
