Position 2 (In Vivo / Surgical) requires hands-on in vivo experience, particularly microsurgical skills in rodent models of cardiac or kidney disease (e.g., myocardial infarction, transverse aortic constriction (TAC), ischemia-reperfusion injury; renal ischemia-reperfusion, unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO), or 5/6 nephrectomy); experience with drug administration (including tail-vein, intrapericardial, renal-capsular, and local delivery), echocardiography or cardiac / renal functional assessment, and tissue harvesting and phenotyping is preferred. The Mass General Brigham Department of Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to conduct basic research in the function, mechanism, and translational applications of tRNA-derived small RNAs (tDRs) and RNA pseudouridylation in heart disease, chronic kidney disease, and Alzheimer''s disease.
