Works with instructors and preceptors to complete the 18-week program which includes instructor led lectures, in-person labs, independent study hours, competency examinations, skills checks and clinical hours with a preceptor. Medical Assistants in training may also perform non-invasive, routine, technical support services under the specific authorization and supervision of a licensed physician, podiatrist, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse midwife.
