Commercial Real Estate Litigation Paralegal Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys by assisting with fact investigation, legal research, document preparation, and case management in commercial real estate matters. Support all phases of litigation, from inception through trial and appeal. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li> Compile and organize exhibits for court filings and pleadings </li><li> Perform legal research to support ongoing litigation matters </li><li> Electronically file documents through NYSCEF and federal ECF systems </li><li> Draft correspondence and distribute courtesy copies to courts and parties </li><li> Effectuate service of legal documents and coordinate with process servers </li><li> Apply Bates numbering and redact documents for production using document management platforms </li><li> Assemble and maintain pleadings binders and case files </li><li> Organize research materials, attorney notes, and client documentation </li><li> Track and maintain litigation calendars and deadlines </li><li> Prepare a wide range of litigation documents, including but not limited to subpoenas, restraining notices, information subpoenas, notices of entry, notices of appeal, requests for judicial intervention, notices of appearance, and notices of electronic filing </li><li> Organize materials for hearings and trials </li><li> Prepare trial binders for attorney use </li><li> Provide administrative support such as scanning, copying, and organizing attorney work product </li><li> File documents in person at court when required </li><li> Maintain both electronic and physical filing systems </li><li> Draft written communications and respond to verbal and written inquiries </li><li> Type, format, and proofread legal and related documents </li><li> Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned </li></ul> Experience and Qualifications: <ul><li> Minimum of five (5) years of experience providing paralegal support in corporate, business, or commercial real estate matters </li><li> Associate degree in Legal Studies or Paralegal Certification required </li><li> Strong administrative, organizational, and time management abilities </li><li> Excellent writing and proofreading skills </li><li> Working knowledge of databases and tracking systems </li><li> Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently </li><li> Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines </li><li> Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment </li><li> Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting </li><li> Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills </li><li> Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to adapt to new software </li><li> Experience with document management systems preferred </li></ul>
Pay Rate Range: $40-$45 per hour depending on experience
