Qualifications: Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with an in-patient psychiatric mental health population preferred Bachelors Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field preferred Must be at least 21 years of age High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Successfully complete a drug test Successfully pass a national background check Physical agility to manage patients Ability to push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. The Admissions Coordinator assists Admissions Clinicians with telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordination of the referral and intake process, determining appropriate level of care, facilitating the admission process and maintaining communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
