Interns will collaborate with multiple staff and learn and perform meaningful tasks to support specific units within Human Resources; Contracts & Procurement; Diversity & Inclusion. Interns will receive training for all assigned tasks, connect with CHFA's Training and Development Manager on a weekly basis, interact with leaders throughout the organization, including executives, and engage in projects and discussions that promote career trajectory and expand their knowledge of affordable housing.Assignments within Business Administration may vary depending on the career focus and interests of the intern and the needs of the department, but may include performing important tasks related to: managing data and reporting; supporting employee engagement efforts; planning and attending community events; managing an Request for Proposal (RFP) process; researching and assessing learning resources and experiences; and assisting with leadership development programming. <h2 style="background:white">Responsibilities</h2><ul><li style="background:white">Develop an understanding of our mission, structure, and programs.</li><li style="background:white">Collaborate with multiple staff members.</li><li style="background:white">Manage multiple priorities simultaneously.</li><li style="background:white">Monitor your calendar and communicate conflicts as they arise.</li><li style="background:white">Connect with department point person weekly.</li><li style="background:white">Complete two projects – one individual and one with intern cohort.</li><li style="background:white">Engage in cohort activities which will include trainings and discussions.</li></ul> <h2 style="background:white">Qualifications</h2><ul><li style="background:white">Ideal candidates are undergraduate students, graduate students, or recent graduates.</li><li style="background:white">Preference given to majors or minors in business administration, human resources, organizational psychology, communication, marketing, business analytics, real estate, urban planning, public policy, economics, finance, accounting, statistics, law and architecture.</li><li style="background:white">Seeking candidates with:<ul><li style="background:white">Interest in affordable housing, fair housing, or business;</li><li style="background:white">Strong organizational skills;</li><li style="background:white">Ability to manage a variety of tasks;</li><li style="background:white">Comfort with Microsoft Office 365 applications; and</li><li style="background:white">Openness to working with multiple teams throughout the department.</li></ul></li></ul><h2 style="background:white"> </h2>This is not an exclusive list of all job functions, and the employee is expected to complete all duties as assigned.
