Education Required - Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program Work Experience Preferred - CT experience Certifications Required - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or computed tomography ARRT (CT ) certified OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registry eligible, registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 90 days of employment, and temporary state license required CT registry eligible within one year Advanced certification in CT required, within one year of becoming CT registry eligible Current unrestricted license in the state of practice Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Preferred - Advanced certification in CT required by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs) * Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.
