Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse with an active Maryland or compact-state license; 2 years of critical-care experience; required certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI); required experience with electronic charting using Epic; strong Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) skills, including intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) and Impella management; proficiency with ventilator management, arterial and central-line care, pulmonary artery catheter monitoring, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), vasoactive medication titration, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, cardiac surgery recovery, and mechanical support devices. Preferred Qualifications: National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and CCRN certifications; prior charge experience; community hospital experience; Trauma Level I or Trauma Level II experience; experience with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), ventricular assist devices, epicardial pacing wires, FloTrac monitoring, fresh tracheostomies, surgical intensive care, and trauma intensive care.
