Healthcare Administrative Assistant

As a Healthcare Administrative Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of daily workflows. From managing patient schedules to supporting the administrative needs of a healthcare team, your work will directly contribute to creating a positive and efficient patient experience.

What You’ll Do
  • Greet patients and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
  • Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and manage patient communication.
  • Maintain and update patient records in electronic health systems with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Assist with insurance verification and billing processes.
  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, ensuring timely responses.
  • Support healthcare providers by managing documentation, preparing reports, and coordinating meetings.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and ensure office supplies are adequately stocked.

What You’ll Bring
  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; additional administrative training or certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative role preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
