Coordinate recruitment and outreach utilizing best practices in territory management: Travel to represent the University and support recruiting efforts; Coordinate and conduct recruitment visits to high schools, community colleges, community organizations and other recruitment venues; Provide customized support to establish and maintain strong relationships with students and families from your assigned territory; Attend and support relevant community events; Develop and maintain cooperative relationships with guidance counselors, community organizations and agencies, and other key influencers; Maintain contact with prospective students, school personnel, families, and other organizations, and make referrals as necessary based on the specific needs of students; Advise prospective students, school personnel and families on application, admissions, financial aid, academic, and other student processes and policies; Develop strategies and approaches for accomplishing programmatic goals and objectives related to early outreach; Plan and execute application generating events and activities at schools within the assigned territory; Develop methods and strategies for recruiting traditional and under-represented students to EWU; Coordinate recruitment activities and participation of other departments, faculty, student services, enrollment management, etc. Provide processing and administrative support to the operations team within the Office of Admissions: Evaluate new student applications using research based assessment tools while adhering to university admissions policies; Update and maintain information in tracking documents, university systems, and communication platforms, and use data from these platforms and systems to prepare activity reports as requested; Confidentially manage student documents such as transcripts, fee waivers, and other items related to the admissions application; Update student records in a timely fashion following recruitment events and/or communication with students; Support statewide initiatives to increase the college going rate in Washington state; Maintain technological skills necessary for file review, admissions processing, and strategic territory management; Interpret WSAC and NACAC policies in making admissions decisions; Use national best practices related to holistic admissions review; Represent EWU at conferences and other professional events, and participate in networks, organizations, committees as the need arises; Advise supervisor on issues and concerns of students or of departments; Analyze and assess recruitment activities for improvement of territory management plan; and.
