The position consists of, but is not limited to, the following duties: Operate concrete paving equipment, including concrete pavers, placers/spreaders, texture/cure machines, and other related equipment; Assist with the placement, spreading, leveling, finishing, texturing, and curing of concrete; Set up, inspect, adjust, and clean paving equipment before, during, and after paving operations; Monitor paving operations to help maintain proper grade, alignment, depth, and finish; Work closely with foremen, grade personnel, laborers, truck drivers, and other equipment operators; Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns; Assist with the setup and maintenance of traffic control devices as needed; Perform general labor duties when equipment is not in operation; Maintain equipment, tools, and work areas; Follow all C.W. Previous experience in concrete paving, heavy highway construction, or heavy equipment operation preferred; Experience operating concrete paving equipment is strongly preferred; Ability to work safely around heavy equipment and active traffic; Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew; Valid driver''s license preferred; Must be willing to work days, nights, weekends, and extended hours as project schedules require; Must be willing to travel to various C.W.
