This role is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete on a variety of job sites.This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend work. Start times may vary, including early mornings (as early as 6:00 AM).Employees are eligible for benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K) after completing a 90-day probationary period.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Place, level, and finish concrete to specified grade and depth</li><li>Operate screeds, trowels, floats, and other finishing tools (hand and power)</li><li>Cut joints and grooves to control cracking</li><li>Monitor weather conditions and adjust finishing techniques accordingly</li><li>Signal and direct concrete truck placement and pouring</li><li>Smooth, level, and finish surfaces; remove defects and patch as needed</li><li>Set, align, and remove concrete forms</li><li>Perform repairs on existing concrete surfaces</li><li>Apply curing, sealing, and waterproofing compounds</li><li>Install anchor bolts, embeds, and other fixtures in fresh concrete</li><li>Use vibrators to eliminate air pockets and ensure proper consolidation</li><li>Maintain clean and safe job sites, including proper disposal of materials</li><li>Communicate effectively with Foreman regarding materials, issues, and safety concerns</li><li>Train and assist laborers in finishing techniques and best practices</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Minimum 5 years of construction experience, including 2+ years as a Concrete Finisher</li><li>Strong knowledge of finishing techniques (trowel, float, broom, edging, jointing, etc.)</li><li>Ability to read grades, measurements, and job specifications</li><li>Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification and First Aid certification</li><li>Strong math, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills</li><li>Experience selecting, operating, and maintaining tools and equipment</li><li>Effective communication skills and ability to lead by example</li><li>Valid US Drivers License</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heat over 100°F</li><li>Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist throughout the workday</li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs</li><li>Strong physical stamina, coordination, and manual dexterity</li><li>Ability to safely operate and control tools and machinery with precision</li></ul>What We're Looking For<ul><li>Dependability: Reliable attendance is critical to project success</li><li>Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality finished work with minimal supervision</li><li>Teamwork: Works well with crew members and maintains a positive attitude</li><li>Leadership: Willingness to train and guide less experienced team members</li><li>Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions on the job site</li><li>Work Ethic: Takes pride in craftsmanship and getting the job done right</li></ul>
