The Senior Accountant is a hands-on accountant who supervises the accounts payable and accounts receivable clerk, with three core responsibilities of equal weight: (1) general ledger (GL) accounting and the monthly close, including rental revenue accounting; (2) accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and purchasing operations; and (3) optimizing and automating the work in both areas with AI tools, including Claude Cowork and AI agents. Solid understanding of United States generally accepted accounting principles (US GAAP), particularly ASC 606 (revenue), ASC 842 (leases, including lessor accounting for rentals), ASC 330 (inventory), and ASC 360 (property and equipment), and of financial controls and account reconciliation.
