Ability to: Use tact and diplomacy to defuse sensitive and stressful situations; use computers effectively and learn related programs to enter, extract, compile, and arrange data; read, interpret, apply, and explain rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; keep statistical and financial records and compile reports; establish and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, employees, and community members; plan, schedule, prioritize, and supervise or coordinate the clerical work of others; monitor school budgets; perform accurate calculations; and prioritize a variety of emergency situations. Under general direction of a school administrator, organizes, coordinates, schedules, and performs varied clerical and secretarial functions in a high school office utilizing independent judgment and discretion; provides public relations and communication services concerning school activities, policies, regulations, and procedures; and performs related work as assigned.
