The primary responsibilities for this position include managing a mouse colony, harvesting and processing tissues, performing histological studies and confocal microscopy, maintaining mammalian tissue cultures, conducting PCR and gel electrophoresis for genotyping, executing Western blot analyses, preparing samples for liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) experiments, and analyzing data. Physical Requirements include: Frequently stand, walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, grasp lightly, use fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, perform desk-based computer tasks, use telephone, write by hand, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighing over 40 pounds.
