Responsibilities:Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time for approximately 120–150 employees, including hourly and salaried staffAudit timekeeping records and payroll data for accuracy and complianceProcess new hires, rehires, employee changes, deductions, time-off, terminations, and other updates in the payroll/HRIS systemResolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing informationAssist employees with payroll/HRIS questions and self-service portal supportPrepare and run payroll/HRIS reports related to earnings, taxes, deductions, benefits, and other employee dataMaintain payroll compliance by following internal policies, procedures, and applicable lawsSupport HR administrative functions including filing, recordkeeping, background checks, references, and employee training setupProcess unemployment claims, employment verifications, garnishments, audit requests, workers’ compensation inquiries, and other related requestsAssist with HR projects and general administrative support as neededMaintain a high level of confidentiality with all payroll and HR information. Qualifications:3+ years of payroll experience requiredExperience using payroll software required; ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred, but similar systems such as Paychex or Paylocity are also relevantExperience in a multi-department environment with hourly employees and variable rates preferredSome HR compliance or HR administrative experience preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and WordExcellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughAbility to meet deadlines and handle confidential information appropriatelyStrong communication and customer service skillsHigh school diploma required; college degree or payroll certification preferred.
