When it comes to the tech world, we all know the big names: Google, Apple, Facebook and any number of companies familiar both to you and your grandma. And while there’s certainly nothing wrong with working at a big company, the startups of the tech world also have a ton to offer job seekers—and many of these small up-and-comers are hiring on Monster right now.

Startups offer a slew of unsung benefits you might not find at a larger company. You’ll experience the intense collaborative atmosphere of a small team. You’ll wear multiple professional hats, and you’ll pick up dozens of valuable new skills as you go along. Some startups also offer stock option packages that could become incredibly valuable should the company be purchased—unicorns like Snapchat and Instagram have produced overnight millionaires, to name a couple.

OK, OK: That last point is a bit of a gamble. But that shouldn’t discourage you from considering some of the exciting startup employers out there as you conduct your job search. Like these ones:

1. Roomi

What they do: Help users find roommates matched to their lifestyle and interests (think Tinder for roommates). The app has over 375,000 users and recently raised $4 million in seed funding.

What you’ll do: QA Engineer, Product Marketing Manager, Community Manager
